Kingsman: The Secret Service.

I just can`t keep quiet about that. I need to let it all out.

Kingsman. Two hours of my life that I`m never getting back. The scrip idea is not bad (wanted to write 'great' and then 'good' but...it`s never getting there..). I only have one question really: couldn`t they have made it as good looking, but also put a lot more logic and sense into it?! Why do we always turn good ideas into a load of crap which reduces our brain cells (c`mon, there are people in this world who don`t have many of those!) and just get money for that? Yeah, yeah...because it`s in demand. Because people watch it, and love it, and want more of it. It looks really really great, and that`s why when you watch it you wanna say 'the movie`s sooo gooood'. It`s beautiful, really. The money they invested in it were probably BIG. The special effects, although they are pretty damn stupid, look AMAZING. But holy hell after watching this movie I literally felt my brain cells committing suicides one by one. It was something like 'yeaaahhh it`s sooo gooood but wtf is going on...come on...'
There are two people who made me fall in love with the movie despite all the crappiness. Colin Firth (love the actor, can`t say loved the character that much) and Taron Egerton (the actor is AMAZING, even the character turned out to be great. until the last ten minutes of the movie which got me confused and totally spoiled everything. I mean, if throughout the whole movie you make him lovely, caring, loyal, kind, romantic and stuff, and even develop a little ship between him and Roxy then WHY THE HELL would he go and f*ck that princess lady?! Yeah that was funny. For someone. I guess. But that`s kind confusing). The bromance between Harry and Eggsy is gorgeous. There are a lot of great actors as well, and they all probably got payed real good. I`m not gonna believe them if they say they worked for the idea. Which is, again, rubish. The idea of the script is interesting and has the right to live, I won`t lie, but what came out of it eventually is just wrong. Every character line is blurry and indistinct, characters` evolving is lame if there even is one, logic is awfully missed.

If it wasn`t for Taron`s great acting skills (and accent :D) and his bromance with Colin/Harry I wouldn`t even get to the middle of the movie. Honestly. Also some jokes are incredible! And a pug, obviously! ;)

And the stupidest thing about all this is that I will want to re-watch it anyway. Sad...very sad that having this much money to make a REALLY GREAT movie they made something beautiful but retarded instead. :( And still I can't say I hated it. I fairly enjoyed it :D

The Best Of Me.

Nicholas Sparks once used to be one of my favourite authors. Why used to? Maybe because I`ve grown out of these stories about eternal love between two people. Maybe just lost faith in it. I don`t really know what happened, but I stopped reading his books and watching movies adapted from them. It was until now when I`ve come across the movie that`s called The Best Of Me (the adaptation of Sparks` homonymous book). What made me want to watch the movie? It was not at all the fact that it was the story written by Sparks. It was the cast. Especially two of my favourite people: James Marsden (fell in love with him in 27 dresses, he was a part of the original X Men squad, and then there were Hop and Bachelorette, both really good and fun movies) and Liana Liberato (she`s absolutely adorable, and I loved her part in Stuck In Love). Thanks to these two amazing actors, I decided to give the trailer a chance, and let me tell you I had goosebumps. I don`t know what it was, but it gave me feels. In the trailer I saw the rest of the amazing cast. For instance, beautiful Michelle Monaghan, handsome (oh god help me!) Luke Bracey (whom I was sure I`d seen before but couldn`t quite remember and then BINGO! I realized he played Leighton Meester`s love interest in Monte Carlo, which I loved as well), there also were Ian Nelson (one can know him as young Derek in Teen Wolf), Gerald McRaney, who was incredibly good in this movie, Robby Rasmussen and Sebastian Arcelus (this was actually the first time I saw them, and they were both really really good and charming in their own way).
So the cast is amazing. One can say that the young versions look nothing like the adult ones (this was my first thought as well, especially on the Dawson`s part). But still all actors, young and adults, did an amazing job, and I agree with what James Marsden said in one of his interviews : ' it doesn`t matter if we look alike or not as long as it feels like it`s the same person '. It`s true, and it felt like the same person to me. What made this movie such an incredible experience for me was probably the story of the youth. Liana and Luke did such an amazing job. I fell in love with their love, and I wanted to relate to it, and I wanted something this beautiful to happen to me and to everybody around. They showed real young love. And it wasn`t too sugary or too fictional. It was perfect.
The whole storyline was great! Not only because of the main love story, but because of the themes like destiny, dreams, connection between two people, and so on. I`m a huge believer in destiny and connection, so I really love when it`s reflected in movies somehow. If you`re like me - be sure to like this one.
The soundtrack is the other reason to fall in love with the movie. Incredible songs by Colbie Caillat (In Love Again), Lady Antebellum (Falling For You), Shel and Gareth Dunlop (Hold On) etc. And for those who love old songs there`s one so beautiful you`re gonna want to punch yourself - Nat King Cole - 'What`ll I Do'. In the trailer there`s also John Legend`s 'All Of Me' and who doesn`t love this song, eh?
All in all the movie is great, and I highly recommend those romantic souls who haven`t seen it yet give it a chance. Also keep in mind that this story is created by Nicholas Sparks, so it has some crazy twists and turns, and has a very dramatic ending (ugh........). Despite me ugly crying after the ending credits I still craved for more, so I watched it again the next day and decided to read the book as well. All I`m saying is that I think this movie is worth your time. And this is all for now. x
