'Drag Me Down' by One Direction.

Now, this is a very exciting post for me. I`ve been loving One Direction for over three years now and let me just say this whole time was an emotional rollercoaster. These guys never fail to make me smile, laugh, frown, cry, and feel a lot of other emotions and this I`m thankful for. I can say that at this point in our relationship I can criticise them (in a good and sometimes in a bad way) a lot. And I do. I don`t experience blind love and affection for them (or anyone for that matter). Although I do love them very much. I can have my opinion separated from what my heart tells me, and this is very cool. And you wanna know what else is cool? The fact that these boys have not failed me once, while releasing their music. Not once in three years did I say 'it was good', when it was bad. Simply because it`s never been bad. They always work very hard. And you can hear it and experience it fully. You can see them growing and, more importantly, you can HEAR them growing. They are pop artists yes, but they also are not afraid to experiment with their sound. And while all their songs and albums are still being labeled as 'pop' they don`t all sound the same.

As a lot of people have been saying throughout the day Drag Me Down is the beginning of  a new era for One Direction. This is a first song (and upcoming album) without Zayn. But not only that. They`re yet again trying out new sounds. And what I`ve heard so far is BLOODY AMAZING. It`s been over 12 hours since the release and, honestly, I haven`t seen any negative comments on the song. And more to it, I`ve seen a lot of people saying 'I`m not even a 1D fan and I love the song'. This is how success looks and feels like. This band is not nearly done. And after this song I`m pretty sure they`re gonna stick on the top for a long time. Especially with a fanbase like us ;)

Despite the fact that Zayn is not in the band anymore they sound exactly the same. Like good old One Direction, I mean. I, like many others, was mostly afraid that without Zayn they will lose that sound of theirs, that made them One Direction. But the sound is still there, and it makes me so very happy! This is new One Direction, but it`s still One Direction.

The song sounds so much more mature. I mean FOUR sounded mature enough and it was only released about eight months ago. And here we are, eight months later, and they already sound so much better (which sounds incredibly surreal because I thought FOUR was the best thing ever). Their solos are amazing, and I can`t describe how happy I am that all four of them got a big chunk of the song. Liam and Louis both have such amazing voices. I was very happy to hear them. But what really surprised me was this: firstly, Niall. In every new release I hear his voice as if for the first time, and it makes me so emotional because it always brings me back to the image of Katy Perry saying 'Don`t let me down!'. And I just listen to him, and look at him, and see a guy who`s so happy to live this life, and who`s also such a talented, genuine, nice guy. Niall just makes me feel things, you know. I don`t even know how to describe it. And secondly, Harry. HARRY AND HIS HIGH NOTES. I wasn`t expecting that AT ALL. I`ve always been a Harry girl, and I love his voice very very much. But between him and Liam I`d say Liam was more of a high note guy. Yet here we are listening to Harry nailing those notes, and I swear to God when I first heard him doing his thing I died a little because, again, I wasn`t expecting this coming. He did such a great job, and I`m so so so proud of him. And all of them. Obviously I miss Zayn and I`d rather he was still in the band, but I don`t see the point of whining about it over and over again. What`s done is done, and I`m also very happy for him and what`s coming for his solo career.
Music in the song literally reminded me of Fall Out Boys. I know I know, a lot of FOB fans will drag me down (:D) for this but I don`t care, because they do sound as badass as FOB. It also reminded me of 5SOS` 'Tomorrow Never Dies', it kinda have similar vibes to it, I don`t know. Also, want to point out the bass drop and the beat in the chorus. This gives me LIFE.
And last but not least, lyrics. They`re SO GREAT. There are not that many words but they`re so accurate, and inspiring, and meaningful. At least they were for me. In old times One Direction could sing a song that was overall good but once you really dig deeper into lyrics you will cringe or be like 'wh..what even is this?'. Not gonna lie, there are few of those songs. And this one, as simple as it is, sounds just GREAT. And I`m so proud of that, It has a meaning, it brings something into this world, it makes you relate to it or wanna relate to it, it makes you feel strong and appreciate those who are by your side through everything, good and bad. I love it.

I loved the song. I`ve been listening to it all day and I`m still not sick of it even for a bit. I love their new era, I love that they still can slay the whole world and I love seeing all fans` support from all over the world. This just shows everybody how amazing and meaningful this band is, and also how talented they are, and what a great potential they still have. I only wish them all the best in the world, them and Zayn as well. He will always be a part of this band anyhow. And I`m so freaking excited for the album...God only knows. Let`s slay again. Long live One Direction!

Let me know what did you think of the new single! ;)x

Songs That Remind Me of The Maze Runner Series (Book One).

A lot of these songs can be related to the whole series as well as to the first book. A few of them can be even more relatable to other books in the series. The reason why they made it into the list for the book one is because I listened to them while reading the book one. Simple ;) So here we go...

  • Florence & The Machine - Drumming Song.
This song will haunt me till the rest of my days, reminding me about the first book of The Maze Runner series, simply because that was the first song I heard related to the story. It was in a fan video about Teresa and Thomas, and I loved it SO MUCH. And I feel like the lyrics matches their story so well. Especially the part about their mind conversations. It`s just amazing! I love it so much.
  • Birdy - All About You.
I feel like this song fits Thomesa so perfectly as well. I don`t even have enough words to describe it! I really love Birdy, and most of her songs, and her voice. And it makes me really happy that one of her songs reminds me of one of my favourite ships.
  • Former Vandal - I Was So Sure.
This song was originally written about the character of Lydia Martin from 'Teen Wolf' (which I love with all my heart and soul!!), so that`s how I found it, by a total accident. I was listening to it while reading The Maze Runner, and I couldn`t help thinking how much it fits this book as well as it fits Teen Wolf. Maybe it`s because I really love both things, and both ships - Stydia and Thomesa, and I felt like they have something in common. I don`t know. But this song is amazing, and made me cry. Former Vandal, by the way, is a youtuber who writes a lot of songs related to TV shows or characters. He also has his original albums coming out. Very very talented!
  • Arshad - Nightmare.
This one was actually written specifically about this book, so I guess there`s no need to explain anything. There even are a few quotes from the book, I guess. And the music and the vibe it gives are so great, and so relatable, and suitable for the book. Really great job! Arshad has his youtube channel where he makes such songs for other books/movies as well. For example, The Hunger Games, Paper Towns etc. And he`s really good at what he does!
  • Lorde - Everybody Wants To Rule The World.
Well this one is probably on the list to all the badass books/movies/TV shows out there. I`ve seen great fan videos about Teen Wolf, and The Hunger Games, and Once Upon A Time, and Hannibal and etc etc using this song. And that`s not surprising. The song is very good! I know it may be a bit overrated, and people may be sick of it but I still kinda love it and feel like it`s a really really great song, with a great vibe.
  • Shelby Merry - The Scorch.
Shelby Merry is the third person on this list who makes music related specifically to this series. And her songs are SO BEAUTIFUL! I absolutely love her voice and the lyrics in all her songs..I`m very very happy I found her. She, obviously, also has a youtube channel where you can find more of her work.
This song, as you can see from the name, is more about the second book. Shelby also has a song called 'When the darkness comes' which is more about the first book...but for some reason I mixed it all up and 'The Scorch' now reminds me of the first one, and 'When the darkness comes' of the second one. This is just how weird I am. However, both songs are gorgeous, so everything else does not really matter.

  • Skillet - Madness In Me (Interlude).
Now, this song just screams 'TERESA' right into my face. I, again, can not describe how much I love it, and what a perfect fit this is for her whole story. She was a real hero, and these words describe her so beautifully...

  • Blackchords - As Night Falls.
I think this song I actually found in the playlist for the Newmas ship, and it really fits them so well...(oh Newmas, my heart will never stop hurting..). But it fits the whole story as well and this is very very cool. However this one is not my favourite on this list.. ;)
  • Thousand Foot Krutch - The End Is Where We Begin.
Some lyrics in this song don`t really fit well with the story but others do, and do it amazingly good. And, again, I love the vibe and the style of the song. The mood is very maze-runner-ish. So yeah, it`s amazing.
  • Lorde - Yellow Flicker Beat.
The last but not the least. To be completely honest, I don`t know what this song is doing in the list because it`s been a long time since I`ve put it in here. I have a slight assumption that I was just listening to it during the reading, and it`s Lorde`s voice, so I thought I already have one of her songs why not have another one. And anyway the song is really really good, and, like 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World', it basically can fit in very well into this story, really. Cause it`s badass ;)

So this is my fan soundtrack for the first book of the series 'The Maze Runner'. I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know if you have any songs that remind you of the book! I also have lists for two sequels and a prequel as well, so I`m gonna be posting those some time later ;)x

Some Of The Albums I Listened To In July.

'How Does It Feel' by MS MR.
I liked it a lot. I fell in love with Lizzy`s voice when I heard BTSK, and then there was Dark Doo Wop, which for some reason reminds me of The Maze Runner series, and I even put it into my 'fan soundtrack for The Scorch Trials' list (oh wow I should make a post about this! should I? Let me know!). Oh and then I heard their cover of Arctic Monkeys` 'Do I Wanna Know', and it was brilliant! So yeah I`m a sucker for her voice and their music in general.
I really like the energy that album starts with. 'Painted' sounds really good, although I must say when I heard it for the first time I didn`t get it at all. So I guess some people, just like me, will need more than one listening to like it. But I`m pretty sure most of them will [like it]. Every song, even the slower ones, have this amazing beat in them that made me dance around my flat...so that`s a good thing! ;)
The whole album is really good. However, I do have a few favourites which are: 'Criminals', 'Wrong Victory', 'Tunnels' and 'All the Things Lost'.

'Not An Apology' by Bea Miller.
What really scares me is how fast time flies. I remember being little and loving Shakira, Madonna, and then Rihanna, and then Demi Lovato. Now, seeing such young girls as Bea, already having their albums released, I can`t stop thinking that this is the music that the new generation listens to. That`s what I would`ve been listening and fangirling over if I was about 7 years younger. Not gonna lie it makes me feel old in some way. But anyway, Bea Miller is a really good example of a new generation music, as for me. I mean...yeah I`m confused that such a young girl has such lyrics in some of her songs, and it makes me think that she`s not sincere enough, you know what I mean? Like she wants to appear older than she really is. But anyway that`s her own business, and business of girls who`re her fans to decide whether relate to her on that or not. Her music is good. Her voice is amazing! I`m one of those people who knew Bea Miller since the X Factor (that happened). And I don`t like her personality much, but I like the fact that she`s fierce, and she knows what she wants and goes straight for it. And that`s none of my business, really, to care about her personality. Again I will leave it to her fans. But I enjoy her music a lot. The album is pretty good although it`s not as great as I expected it to be. The thing is I`ve heard 'Enemy Fire', 'Fire N Gold', 'Force of Nature' before, and I`ve also heard 'Open Your Eyes' (which for some reason is not in the album), and those songs I LOVED. So I expected the album to be more fierce, I guess, than it turned out. I don`t know, something was missing. I loved the new 'Paper Doll' song though! All in all it`s not bad at all, and at least the next generation has someone with a great voice and good lyrics to listen to, honestly!

'Froot' by Marina and The Diamonds.
Here`s the same story as with Bea Miller. Love the voice, not exactly head over heels about the girl. The difference is that I don`t really know Marina that much. I`ve never watched her interviews or anything like that.. To be honest, I haven`t even heard her previous records, and I don`t know what`s she about, really. So I`m just gonna talk about the album itself. I liked it. It has a mysterious sound about it that excited me very much, and her voice, obviously, sounds grrrreat! I liked 'I`m a Ruin', 'Blue' and 'Savages', and I absolutely loved 'Immortal'. Whoever wants to listen to Marina and The Diamonds should start with listening to 'Immortal'. The song is GORGEOUS. And the lyrics in her songs are pretty good as well! The album was worth the time. Although I didn`t get the feeling that I needed it on my IPod...so that`s that. I`m sure the fans will love it though. If I was a fan I`d totally fall in love with it completely.

'VHS' by X Ambassadors.
Uuugh...Okay, this one is very hard for me to talk about...because I was so disappointed, and I`m so sad about this fact! :( I`ve heard 'Unsteady and 'Jungle' and LOVED THEM SO MUCH. And I was so excited to listen to the whole album...and then I listened to it..and I was like 'um..okay..so? meh okay'.. I liked one more song of the album which is 'Naked', but it still doesn`t come anywhere near 'Unsteady' and 'Jungle'. To be honest, I didn`t even finish the whole thing. I was very bored and upset, and the Interludes were, to be completely honest, the only things that entertained me somehow. Yeah the sound is there, the voice is there, the lyrics are there (at least I guess so) but...I don`t know.. a huge chunk of something was desperately missing.
I want to apologize if I offended someone by saying this but really...I just didn`t like it. If only anyone knew how upset I am about this...

So those were only a few albums I wanted to listen and discuss today. I`m planning on listening a few more ;) Tell me in the comments what albums have you listened to recently, and what do you want to listen to next? Maybe there are some releases you`re dying to hear? x

'IT' by Stephen King.

' -..honestly, it`s gonna be like...one of the most satisfying reading experiences of your life.
-Is it scary?
-Yeah, sure..but it`s not just a scary book. It`s like Moby-Dick. It`s about everything. I mean..you`re gonna be so wrapped up in it you`re gonna be crying by the time you get to the end of it. ' - Stuck In Love (the movie).

This phrase, said by Nat Wolff`s character in the movie, was what put the idea of reading this book into my head in the first place. Mostly because I love when a book is described this way, and also because I really enjoyed watching the movie and thought (and still do) there couldn`t be any wrong information in it. ;) (yeah little advert for the movie as well!)

So this book is the first book by Stephen King that I actually finished. The first one I started reading years ago was 'The Shining', and it was for my extra english class. I`m not very good at reading something for a class, even if it`s by such an amazing writer as Stephen King. Somehow I just feel forced to do it, and I don`t enjoy it as much as I could. Although I liked the story I didn`t finish it. But still planning on it. So then I came across 'IT'. Firstly I briefly noticed and didn`t pay much attention to the fact that this book was SO HUGE. My copy is 1 376 pages long, and it`s one of the very few books I have that have this amount of pages. So I was very excited to dive in and get lost in it. Only when I reached 1000th page I got a bit tired of it. I still don`t really know why. The plot is amazing; the writing, as you can imagine, is grrreat as well, so I don`t know what happened...anyhow I decided to wait a little and postpone finishing it. After a few months I picked it up again, and I was very happy because I missed the characters and the whole story a lot. I was glad I had almost 400 pages left to read. And I finished it in two days.

I can`t tell you how much I enjoyed the story. And it wasn`t so much for the actual story of Pennywise The Clown that got me. It was the story of a true friendship. There are seven characters in the story. The book is divided on three parts which are kind of present day, the past and the interlude part. We meet our characters in the 'past' part where they are only children of 11-12 years old. We see them as separate people, and then we see how they meet each other, and how they grow stronger together, and how their friendship starts to develop. In the 'present' time we learn of their adult lives, what they do, what families and jobs they have and all that. We realize that they`ve lost the track of each other and gone their separate ways. And then six phone calls bring them back together.
The most amazing part about this is that you kind of feel that you`ve known these characters all their lives, and it makes you very attached to them. You kind of feel like you`re a member of the Loser Club (as they called themselves) as well. You grow to love all the characters so much that by the end of the book you feel like someone rips them out of your heart. And it hurts SO MUCH. The story of their relationship as a group and between each of them outside the group is truly amazing. It makes you feel warm about your friends as well. And again by the end of the book you just wanna hold every one of your real friends and every one of the characters because the feels basically tear you apart.
What I loved about the group of characters is that they`re all completely different people who somehow work together really well. You can see different types of characters, and I`m sure everyone can find at least one they can relate to. And I don`t know about you, but I love when this happens in books. And I also love when writers show us how different people with different backgrounds, religion, skin colour, mindset, gender and even sexuality, at some sense, can be brought together, and accept each other, and truly love each other, and be best friends. I think that`s the main thing that made me completely fall in love with this book.
(this fanart is do amazing I couldn`t resist putting it here. I don`t own it, found it on tumblr and I love it so much my heart hurts.)

The 'scary' storyline is great too, it`s even kind of philosophical. It`s basically about fear. How children and adults deal with fear and what are people afraid of, and how these fears can affect their lives and all that. There`s obviously a lot more to it, and I guess every reader can find different interpretation to the main storyline. All in all it`s really great and at times creepy, as there obviously is a monster that represents all those fears. It`s not as creepy as I thought it would be though. When we hear the name of Stephen King we immediately think of the most frightening things on the planet Earth and stuff. I don`t know about his other books but this one is only a little bit scary and more mysterious than creepy. At least it was for me. (And it doesn`t in any way spoil the reading experience may I say).

The ending was shocking, honestly. Until the last page I waited for them to figure something out about their memory (I don`t think it`s a spoiler?), but they didn`t. And the fact crushed and destroyed me, and I was an ugly crying mess, and I couldn`t stop crying for a long time. So this is my warning: if you`re an emotional person get ready to be torn apart by your emotional side, because Stephen King apparently knows how to drain you mentally for a couple of days.

I had different feelings throughout the book. I`m not gonna lie I was getting bored at times, and there were parts in there that I wanted to skip. But I still loved it very much, and it got me right in my heart and soul. I definitely will re-read it some time, and I recommend it to all. Despite the length of it it was, indeed, one of the most satisfying reading experiences of my life.

Tell me if you`ve read this book, and if you liked it or not? And have you read any other books by Stephen King, any suggestions? (I, myself, really wanna read 11.22.63. They say it`s a great one, and in one of his latest interviews Stephen said that his favourite books, of all the ones he`s written, are 'IT' and '11.22.63.' so I`m most excited:) ) xx

The Beat Generation Obsession.

I became obsessed with The Beat Generation about a year ago when I watched 'Kill Your Darlings'. Amazing movie, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan, Ben Foster, Jack Houston, Michael C. Hall and Elizabeth Olsen, shows how the young beats met each other, and what was happening to them around the time of the famous murder of David Kammerer. The movie made me very emotional and excited. First of all because the cast is just PER-FECT and second - the plot and the adaptation of the story is really great. I wasn`t planning on reviewing the movie here, so I`m just gonna suggest you watch it. If not for the plot then for the cast, if not for the whole cast then at least for Daniel Radcliffe, whom I`m so unbelievably proud of! If you still think of him as of Harry Potter...shame on you. He`s an amazing actor and he proves it every time. Love you, Dan ;)x
So yeah, go watch the movie!

After 'Kill Your Darlings' I started to read the biographies of all the main beats who were represented in the movie. All of their life stories are incredibly interesting, though somewhat sad...but what can you do? And searching the information about them I came across a lot of the books: their own works, their biographies, journals, letters (published as a book) etc. Three books that immediately caught my eye were 'And The Hippos Were Boiled In Their Tanks' by Jack Kerouac and Will Burroughs,'You`ll Be Okay: My Life With Jack Kerouac' by Eddie Kerouac-Parker, and 'On The Road' by Jack Kerouac. And those are the three books I want to talk about today. So let`s get straight into it!

'And The Hippos Were Boiled In Their Tanks' by Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.

This book is basically an autobiographical tell about the actual murder that occurred in 1944 when Lucien Carr, who was friends with Jack, Will and other beats, killed David Kammerer (for further information google it, it`s really interesting ;)). Those days affected all of the gang, obviously, and later Jack and Will decided to retell the whole story as it was (or at least very close to that). They used different names and places, but the story itself wasn`t changed much. The book is written from the point of view of the two people - Will Dennison (Burroughs) and Mike Ryko (Kerouac) which is an interesting way of writing, if you ask me, and also, if you`re not familiar with their other books, gives you a little sneak peek of their writing. The book will be interesting as a biographical piece and as a fiction as well. The best thing about it is that as young writers they wanted to write a decent story, inspired by true events, that the people will like as a literature piece. They weren`t legends back then. They weren`t trying to make it about themselves. They weren`t writing an autobiography. And this fact made this book even more attractive for me to read. It`s very easy to read as well. It keeps you excited, and even though there`s a murder in it,  it`s not too tense or scary. And the other great thing about it is that it represents a whole timeline, the lifestyle of 40s in all its gloom. The beats were actually pretty good at representation the time they lived in.

'You`ll Be Okay: My Life With Jack Kerouac' by Eddie Kerouac-Parker.

(ohmygod the cover of this book makes my heart beat faster, and the book feels amazing in your hands as well!!)

Another book that represents the timeline and the lifestyle of the beats amazingly. The atmosphere of this book is something unreal, honestly. The minute I opened it and started reading I felt like I dived in a deep comforting ocean, and I didn`t wanna come back to the surface! Although Eddie Parker is not a writer or the real 'beat', her writing is AMAZING. She writes easy, truthfully and funny. You instantly fall in love with her. You feel connected and wrapped in her warmth. At least that`s how I felt. The book is absolutely biographical, it doesn`t have any plot to it. It`s just an honest, sweet, romantic and, most importantly, truthful story of Eddie`s life, of her moving to New York, meeting Jack Kerouac and other beats. The important thing about Eddie herself is the fact that it was because of her that Jack Kerouac, Lucien Carr, Allen Ginsberg and Will Burroughs met. She introduced them to one another, and she was in the middle of the beats' history in making. Can you imagine? I mean...It sounds pretty cool, although of course it wasn`t that cool in reality. And that`s basically what the book is about. About the ups and downs of Eddie`s life and her love story with Jack (which started off as one of the sweetest relationships I`ve ever heard/read about and ended very very sad and made me an emotional wreck), and her friendship with the beats, and more.

'On The Road' by Jack Kerouac.

Well, first of all only little children and stray dogs haven`t heard the title of this book, I suppose. Even though not many people have actually read it, everyone has heard of it. And I wasn`t an exception. I`d heard of it long before I knew who the beats were, long before I watched the movie, and long before I found out their story. And I always saw these quotes that I liked and thought to myself 'hmm..I need to read it some day'. And, of course, after I learned all of the above, I wanted to read it even more. So the day has come.

Reading On The Road was actually a less enjoyable experience than I expected it to be. I read it as an autobiography rather than a fictional story, and as a matter of fact it is an autobiography anyway. Just like with 'The Hippos..' The book was inspired by true events. After Jack and Eddie sadly started drifting apart Jack went on the road with his buddy, another beat, Neal Cassidy. It also is a great representation of what life was back then. How people lived, what they thought about life, and what were they all about. Especially the youth. The youth all over America. It sounds interesting, but there isn`t that much of a plot to it. Basically, this book is very philosophical, I`d say. You can think about it over and over. You can dig deeper and deeper and find something for yourself. It`s definitely deep, and there`s a lot to understand during the reading process. I was a little disappointed because everywhere people were talking about the book as about more of a fiction classics, and I thought there was gonna be more action, I guess. All the way I was just thinking 'oh my god, when`s it gonna finish already?', and then there was some action that I would really enjoy it and I would think 'yeeess now we`re talking!', and then again a big slump. They say you start to read faster while you passed the middle point... It didn`t happen here. Instead, I felt like there were more and more pages appearing out of nowhere. But the philosophical part was amazing. And I`m not saying the book was awful. I`m just saying it was slow. But all this slowness and tiredness was worth it anyway. And I realized it while reading the last page and sobbing like a baby. The last page was worth everything. On the last page you realize, what this is all about, and where we all are gonna be someday. The last page is amazing. And for those who decided to only read the last page...HAHA you won`t get how amazing it is if you don`t read the whole book.

Throughout the reading I sometimes would get really sad. I thought how much Kerouac`s life actually resembles my own in a sense (and any life of a twenty-year old nowadays, I guess). The similarity is that we both kinda don`t know where we`re going, what we`re doing with our lives. Our minds are all over the place, and we have so many aspirations.. It`s scary. All his life Jack wanted to be a writer, and nobody believed in him except his first wife. His family wasn`t head over heels about the idea and never supported him, always talking to him in a sense 'when are you finally gonna find a real job?'. He wanted to be a writer and, after his long troubled journey, he became one of the greatest authors of all times. Looking back we all see that his talent was born from his struggles, and experiences, and emotions, and all we can say, especially the young ones, is how cool it all was. We romanticise it so much that we can`t see the real picture. Reading On The Road made me see the real picture. He was a guy who wanted to be a writer in the world where almost nobody supported him and even more - told him he won`t be anyone in this life. A guy who was writing a lot, but in meantime had to get whatever job there was to make money for living. He didn`t have a plan, he didn`t have a stable job, he didn`t have a place to live, he always borrowed money and both, him and people who gave him those money, knew he wasn`t gonna pay it back. He drank a lot, he smoked a lot. His mind was rushing from one thing to another, and he was trying anything to stop it at least for a second. And that`s why drinking became his worst habit, which eventually killed him. Imagine living a life like that. When there`s almost nobody to lean on, when you only can really rely on yourslef, when your future is uncertain and pretty much sucks just like your present. For us he was a great, talented, open minded man full of imagination when, in fact, he was scared, and tired, and uncertain about everything. Just like most of us are today. It`s not cool, it`s not romantic, and I would never say 'I want to be like him', except that I already am like him. In more ways then I originally thought. And my whole generation is. And On The Road made me realize that, and made me think about my future as uncertain as ever. It made me scared. So if you have wide imagination, anxiety issues, and you`re emotional as hell I  wanna warn you: you may feel miserable at some point while reading it. But you should read it anyway. ;)

Let me know if you`ve read any of these books or some other books of The Beat Generation, and what did you think of them? And also if you watched the movie. Let`s fangirl together (cause...It`s been a year and I still can`t get over how great the movie is.) x

5 Albums That Have Surprised Me Recently.

'Breathe In. Breathe Out.' by Hilary Duff.

Hilary Duff is one of the few people that I can really say 'thank you for my childhood' to. And I can`t say that I was a massive fan of hers in my younger years. In fact, I don`t think I have ever seen a one full episode of 'Lizzie McGuire'... But 'Lizzie McGuire Movie' OH YES. I was obsessed with it for sometime, and I guess it was that movie that showed me that Hilary has a really nice voice..while sinning, I mean. Then there were 'A Cinderella Story', 'Raise Your Voice', 'The Perfect Men' and 'Greta'. Those are the movies that I will always love, no matter how old I am. I remember being obsessed with her music for some time as well. But it wasn`t for long. When I first heard the news about her coming back and making an album, to be honest, I wasn`t excited at all. There were times I even thought it wasn`t such a good idea. But it all changed completely after I heard the actual album. I loved it so much I surprised myself! I was excited about every song, and I thought each and every of them is brilliant in its own way. When I heard the live version of 'Tattoo' I fell back in love with Hilary and her sweet voice. And with the song as well (which was written with Ed Sheeran btw, and this is just WOOOWWW!). In fact, that live version made me wanna listen to the whole album, and I wasn`t disappointed at all. I`m really really excited about this album and that Hilary is back on track! Now I understand how much I missed her. You go, girl! x
Here`s the live version of 'Tattoo' (definitely my favourite song of the album, despite the fact that I loved each one a lot. And ohgod her guitarist is sooo attractive...).

'Blurryface' by Twenty One Pilots.

I first found out about Twenty One Pilots from Harry Styles, who loves to visit tons of concerts of really REALLY good musicians. And of course being a Harry girl I decided to listen to the band. And I loved it SO MUCH I can`t even describe. The first song I listened to was 'House Of Gold' which now reminds me of The Vamps because of the voice (that`s weird..) and then I completely fell in love with their song called 'Before You Start Your Day'. All the songs I listened to were very soft, subtle and easy going, as for me, so I thought: 'I really enjoy their music, but there`s nothing new, really, another boyband with nice songs blah blah blah'. Well not anymore. Starting with 'Farily Local' and 'Stressed Out' they`ve matured in my eyes in a split second. The sound of those two songs, as well as of the whole album, is SO GOOD. There`s something very badass about them that I`m sure a lot of people will enjoy. The lyrics are amazing as well, songs are badass AND relatable. What else can we ask for? I fell in love with their album, and it totally changed my first impression of the boys. I recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of rock, a bit of dub-step, a bit of bass, and rap, and a badass, grrrreat voice. (I don`t think I said 'badass' enough..)

'Communion' by Years&Years.

Olly Alexander made me fall in love with him a little bit after I saw him in season 7 of Skins. It wasn`t so much his attractiveness or anything, but there was (and is) something weirdly amazing and mysterious about him, that I can`t figure out, that just brings me back to him over and over again. Before seven or so months ago I didn`t even know he could sing and had a band. I guess the end of 2014 and 2015 have been a real success for these guys. This I`m very happy about! And I hope their success will keep rising (is this the right word for success?..). Even after I found out about their music I wasn`t excited about listening to them, don`t know why exactly. That was until I heard their song 'King' which instantly won my heart over. Then there was 'Shine'. The song is amazing itself, and I also loved the music video, which was apparently shot in my country (saywhat?!). Despite the fact that everywhere there were people who were saying how amazing and unique Olly`s voice was I couldn`t bring myself to really hear it, if you know what I mean...I only REALLY heard and started to appreciate his voice when I heard the whole album, I guess. It was am amazing experience, and now I completely understand why Years&Years are everywhere nowadays. They have to be everywhere cause they`re incredible! (They`re also charming as hell, all of them. I guess my attraction to them can be explained not only by their talent but also my love for Britain and British citizens...).

'Human' by Three Days Grace.

Three Days Grace are not something new in my life. I`ve been in love with some of their songs like...forever. That`s why when I saw their newly released song 'Human Race' I decided to give it a go at the very minute. At the time of the release I craved for something as rocky as Three Days Grace. I wanted this music, I wanted this voice, I wanted this vibe...and on the very first few seconds of the song I realized that was exactly what I needed. Then the album came out and it was all one pure pleasure. It has such a strong vibe to it and the music is SO GOOD, and lyrics...ohmygod! It just made me feel so badass, and strong, and vicious (in a good way :D). I`m sure this album will be perfect if you wanna kind of wake your inner beast (again - in a good way)...or in fact, it can make you very depressed as well, as I`m thinking about it now, because lyrics sometimes are just...DEEP. Anyway it`s somewhere inbetween good and bad, and I absolutely love this balance!

'Mornign Phase' by Beck.

Beck is mostly known to people for his song 'Loser', I guess. At least to people I know. A few months ago a person whose opinion I value a lot was talking about Beck`s latest album, and I made a mental note to listen to it later. Now, the album was out back in 2014, and after that there already is a new song called 'Dreams' which I listened first and it. is. AMAAAAZING. It`s kind of summery, and very light, and carefree. It made me wanna go on the road trip, to be honest. And it didn`t end there. Listening to the album made me teary-eyed because I remembered all the great road-trips with my family when I was younger. It made me very nostalgic and, in fact, a bit of an emotional wreck. That`s okay. And again the whole album is so light and sunny you literally can feel the sun pitching your cheeks, and the wind blowing in your hair, and the desire of exploring the unknown road ahead of you. Ugh...that`s just an amazing feeling. If you like road trips and long journeys you will definitely enjoy this album!

The Chemical Brothers have their new album out as well and there`s a song featuring Beck called 'Wide Open' which sounds incredible. I`m starting to think all Beck`s tracks, even the ones he`s only featured on, are meant to be a road trip soundtrack. And I lllloooove it!

Let me know if you`ve heard any of these albums and if you liked them or not. And also maybe there are some albums that have surprised you recently? I`d love to know! x

Suicide Squad First Look.

I`ve never been a fan of Batman (although I did enjoy the first, and only one episode I watched, of Gotham). But I am really into superheroes, and DC Comics has a huge amount of great characters. Lately I`ve heard so much about the Suicide Squad, and I guess it was especially because Cara Delevingne and Jared Leto are in it. But I never really though to look it up and find out what this is exactly. Up until yesterday, when I saw the Comic-Con (GODBLESSCOMICCON IWANNABETHEREEVERYYEARBUTIMNOT) first look on the movie. Let me just tell you how excited I got about it! First and foremost, I didn`t know Will Smith was gonna suddenly pop up on the screen looking as good as possible! You can`t do this to me, Will! Then there was Viola Davis ,whom I missed terribly since the How To Get Away With Murder finale (ohgodIwannaknowwhatsnext), Jai Courtney, whom I also missed terribly since the fifth part of Die Hard and Insurgent (both movies are crap but still love Jai) and Margot Robbie, who looked just gorgeous! Of course I`m also excited to see Cara, and Jared looks sick as The Joker as well! I lsmost screamed when he appeared on the screen, really. I didn`t watch any of the Batman movies (which my friends mock me about every. freaking. time) but I`ve seen a lot of Heath Ledger`s Joker all over the internet, obviously, and he kind of became the original Joker to me, whenever I hear the word 'joker' I instantly imagine Heath`s character, but I feel like, although they`re very very different, Jared`s Joker will be as great as Heath`s one, and I`m really excited to see him.

The whole trailer looks and sounds so badass that I instantly felt the need to watch the movie as soon as possible. Probably because during the last month I`ve been in the mood for something badass-superhero-adventure-ish, and of course because it all looked so freaking GOOD. I loved the casting, and most of the time it`s the main thing for me to watch a movie (when I`m not a fan of the characters themselves), I pretty much liked the plot, although I`m not sure I understood it fully..so if you`re a Suicide Squad or a DC Comic superfan you can tell me the whole story on them and share your emotions in the comments ;)

The sad part about all this though is that the movie is a year away. It only premiers in August 2016, I guess (correct me if I`m wrong) and the thought is killing me. ;D

By the way, in case you haven`t seen the trailer here you go! (wow the thumbnail is really creepy, good job, Jared and make up artists).

The Newsroom.

What I can`t stand about myself at times (though not all the time, it`s 50/50 really) is my ability to associate everything with everything. I can associate songs with people and situations (as I was saying in the previous post). I can associate myself with a character in a book or a movie. Even with real people..and sometimes this ability does not help me to live my life as I want to. A few months ago I came across the TV show that`s called 'The Newsroom'. The TV show itself is a masterpiece! It`s funny, it`s smart, it`s realistic as hell, it represents a lot of different types of people and relationships etc. It`s amazing, really. To be honest, it`s probably one of the best TV shows I`ve watched in my whole life. The upsetting fact about this TV show, or should I say about my relationship with this TV show, is that I never got to watch the last episode of it. The thing is, this show is about a bunch of journalists who works on national television (the journalist`s job is showed SO GREAT by the way. I don`t know if it`s accurate or not, but it was amazingly showed on the screen. It felt real). At the time I started watching the show I also started attending the course for journalists-beginners, and somehow (quite logically) my mind connected these two things into one, and I thought that maybe someday I can be like those people on the screen (like Maggie or MacKenzie, for instance). The show inspired me so much and got me going with that course of mine, and got me so pumped about my future...up until the point I realized it wasn`t really what I wanted to do. Mainly because the journalist`s job is not actually about the writing (as many people like me think it is), it`s mostly about getting your facts straight, and getting the latest news, and be in the middle of the history making, I`d say.. and blah blah blah. I`m not saying it`s an awful job, no. Just not my cup of tee, I guess. So I got really stressed and upset about failing yet once again in my life, and after awhile I realized that I can`t keep watching this TV show, because whenever I watch it I start feeling stressed and sad. Because I start thinking that I failed on my course. So there`s that. And this is SO unfortunate because I literally have one episode to finish, and I love the story and characters IMMENSELY, and I just feel so sad that I can`t bring myself out of that situation and finish the series.

Anyway, I actually started to write this post to tell all the people out there who will ever read this to WATCH THE NEWSROOM because it`s fabulous! I`m not joking. It made me laugh hysterically, it made me cry my eyes out, it made me realize a thing or two about life. It basically made me emotional on pretty much every level. There are a few descent love stories and ships as well, which make my heart melt even now as I`m thinking about them. And the cast is just so unbelievably good I can`t even tell you! I don`t think there is another TV show like that, at least not that I know of. I want to say that it`s unique in a sense. Ugh... I really hope that someday I will be able to let go whatever it is that prevents me from watching the last episode, and I will finally watch it!

Also one more thing about the cast... I loved absolutely each and every one of them, but I just need to say how much I loved Dev Patel! I first saw him in Skins and I wasn`t head over heels about him. I mean he was okay, and Anwar was a pretty good character, but that was all for me. And here...oooh let me just tell you how amazing Dev is in this show. Although he doesn`t get a lot of screen time, and he`s not really the main figure of the plot, he`s the character without whom the show just wouldn`t be the same. His humour is one of the best on the show, and whenever he is on the screen you know something cool is gonna happen, it has to. I love how hardworking his character is, and how he believes in himself and thinks he can make a real difference, and more importantly how he wants to make a difference. And also his storyline in the final season is REALLY GOOD, and I didn`t get to see how it ended because it`s all in the final episode and the thought is killing me!

So yeah, the whole cast is incredible, and every character has something that I loved about them, but I just wanted to acknowledge Dev Patel here. I guess a lot of people still see him as young Anwar, which he`s definitely not.

All in all, I highly recommend this TV show to anyone and everyone who loves descent love stories and character storylines, great characters of different ranges, who have some descent reasons to be the way they are, journalism, amazing humour, different kinds of relationships, rather then only romantic ones, plot that is connected to our reality (almost every episode is connected to a real situation, for example 9/11, killing of Osama Bin Laden, Fukushima disaster etc.)

Let me know if you watched and liked it so we can fangirl about it together, or if you didn`t like it and why? I`m curious to know x

Bridgit, where are you?

This album is three years old (if I`m not mistaken, I`m not exactly a mathematician :( ), and it`s still my tuuuune! Even though I only downloaded it a year ago I`d been listening to it for a looong time before that. And it still sounds brilliant to me. I like Bridgit and her voice a lot, though I can`t call myself a fan of hers, I don`t really know anything specific about her, but her songs are amazing (oh and Lemonade Mouth was my fave in year 2012 or 2013, don`t really remember). I tend to associate songs with people and situations in my life (which is not the best habit at times...), and what`s great about this album is that I don`t really associate it with anything or anyone specific. Or maybe I do but it tends to be only a good stuff. Therefore it`s just a great spring/summer happy tune for me. It has so much carefreeness and energy to it it`s amazing! It really just makes you jump around the room sinning on top of your voice, and that`s what I like about it the most. It takes all the thoughts about life toughness away, if you know what I mean. Also, as for me, the quality of the album is very good considering it`s a debut one.
I really only have one question: When is there gonna be the next album? I realised I`d really REALLY loved the new stuff from Bridgit. I hope it will happen soon, and until then I`m just gonna dance and sing along to this gorrrgeous record.
