Some Of The Albums I Listened To In July.

'How Does It Feel' by MS MR.
I liked it a lot. I fell in love with Lizzy`s voice when I heard BTSK, and then there was Dark Doo Wop, which for some reason reminds me of The Maze Runner series, and I even put it into my 'fan soundtrack for The Scorch Trials' list (oh wow I should make a post about this! should I? Let me know!). Oh and then I heard their cover of Arctic Monkeys` 'Do I Wanna Know', and it was brilliant! So yeah I`m a sucker for her voice and their music in general.
I really like the energy that album starts with. 'Painted' sounds really good, although I must say when I heard it for the first time I didn`t get it at all. So I guess some people, just like me, will need more than one listening to like it. But I`m pretty sure most of them will [like it]. Every song, even the slower ones, have this amazing beat in them that made me dance around my flat...so that`s a good thing! ;)
The whole album is really good. However, I do have a few favourites which are: 'Criminals', 'Wrong Victory', 'Tunnels' and 'All the Things Lost'.

'Not An Apology' by Bea Miller.
What really scares me is how fast time flies. I remember being little and loving Shakira, Madonna, and then Rihanna, and then Demi Lovato. Now, seeing such young girls as Bea, already having their albums released, I can`t stop thinking that this is the music that the new generation listens to. That`s what I would`ve been listening and fangirling over if I was about 7 years younger. Not gonna lie it makes me feel old in some way. But anyway, Bea Miller is a really good example of a new generation music, as for me. I mean...yeah I`m confused that such a young girl has such lyrics in some of her songs, and it makes me think that she`s not sincere enough, you know what I mean? Like she wants to appear older than she really is. But anyway that`s her own business, and business of girls who`re her fans to decide whether relate to her on that or not. Her music is good. Her voice is amazing! I`m one of those people who knew Bea Miller since the X Factor (that happened). And I don`t like her personality much, but I like the fact that she`s fierce, and she knows what she wants and goes straight for it. And that`s none of my business, really, to care about her personality. Again I will leave it to her fans. But I enjoy her music a lot. The album is pretty good although it`s not as great as I expected it to be. The thing is I`ve heard 'Enemy Fire', 'Fire N Gold', 'Force of Nature' before, and I`ve also heard 'Open Your Eyes' (which for some reason is not in the album), and those songs I LOVED. So I expected the album to be more fierce, I guess, than it turned out. I don`t know, something was missing. I loved the new 'Paper Doll' song though! All in all it`s not bad at all, and at least the next generation has someone with a great voice and good lyrics to listen to, honestly!

'Froot' by Marina and The Diamonds.
Here`s the same story as with Bea Miller. Love the voice, not exactly head over heels about the girl. The difference is that I don`t really know Marina that much. I`ve never watched her interviews or anything like that.. To be honest, I haven`t even heard her previous records, and I don`t know what`s she about, really. So I`m just gonna talk about the album itself. I liked it. It has a mysterious sound about it that excited me very much, and her voice, obviously, sounds grrrreat! I liked 'I`m a Ruin', 'Blue' and 'Savages', and I absolutely loved 'Immortal'. Whoever wants to listen to Marina and The Diamonds should start with listening to 'Immortal'. The song is GORGEOUS. And the lyrics in her songs are pretty good as well! The album was worth the time. Although I didn`t get the feeling that I needed it on my IPod...so that`s that. I`m sure the fans will love it though. If I was a fan I`d totally fall in love with it completely.

'VHS' by X Ambassadors.
Uuugh...Okay, this one is very hard for me to talk about...because I was so disappointed, and I`m so sad about this fact! :( I`ve heard 'Unsteady and 'Jungle' and LOVED THEM SO MUCH. And I was so excited to listen to the whole album...and then I listened to it..and I was like 'um..okay..so? meh okay'.. I liked one more song of the album which is 'Naked', but it still doesn`t come anywhere near 'Unsteady' and 'Jungle'. To be honest, I didn`t even finish the whole thing. I was very bored and upset, and the Interludes were, to be completely honest, the only things that entertained me somehow. Yeah the sound is there, the voice is there, the lyrics are there (at least I guess so) but...I don`t know.. a huge chunk of something was desperately missing.
I want to apologize if I offended someone by saying this but really...I just didn`t like it. If only anyone knew how upset I am about this...

So those were only a few albums I wanted to listen and discuss today. I`m planning on listening a few more ;) Tell me in the comments what albums have you listened to recently, and what do you want to listen to next? Maybe there are some releases you`re dying to hear? x
