Songs That Remind Me of The Maze Runner Series (Book One).

A lot of these songs can be related to the whole series as well as to the first book. A few of them can be even more relatable to other books in the series. The reason why they made it into the list for the book one is because I listened to them while reading the book one. Simple ;) So here we go...

• Florence & The Machine - Drumming Song.

This song will haunt me till the rest of my days, reminding me about the first book of The Maze Runner series, simply because that was the first song I heard related to the story. It was in a fan video about Teresa and Thomas, and I loved it SO MUCH. And I feel like the lyrics matches their story so well. Especially the part about their mind conversations. It`s just amazing! I love it so much.

• Birdy - All About You.

I feel like this song fits Thomesa so perfectly as well. I don`t even have enough words to describe it! I really love Birdy, and most of her songs, and her voice. And it makes me really happy that one of her songs reminds me of one of my favourite ships.

• Former Vandal - I Was So Sure.

This song was originally written about the character of Lydia Martin from 'Teen Wolf' (which I love with all my heart and soul!!), so that`s how I found it, by a total accident. I was listening to it while reading The Maze Runner, and I couldn`t help thinking how much it fits this book as well as it fits Teen Wolf. Maybe it`s because I really love both things, and both ships - Stydia and Thomesa, and I felt like they have something in common. I don`t know. But this song is amazing, and made me cry. Former Vandal, by the way, is a youtuber who writes a lot of songs related to TV shows or characters. He also has his original albums coming out. Very very talented!

• Arshad - Nightmare.

This one was actually written specifically about this book, so I guess there`s no need to explain anything. There even are a few quotes from the book, I guess. And the music and the vibe it gives are so great, and so relatable, and suitable for the book. Really great job! Arshad has his youtube channel where he makes such songs for other books/movies as well. For example, The Hunger Games, Paper Towns etc. And he`s really good at what he does!

• Lorde - Everybody Wants To Rule The World.

Well this one is probably on the list to all the badass books/movies/TV shows out there. I`ve seen great fan videos about Teen Wolf, and The Hunger Games, and Once Upon A Time, and Hannibal and etc etc using this song. And that`s not surprising. The song is very good! I know it may be a bit overrated, and people may be sick of it but I still kinda love it and feel like it`s a really really great song, with a great vibe.

• Shelby Merry - The Scorch.

Shelby Merry is the third person on this list who makes music related specifically to this series. And her songs are SO BEAUTIFUL! I absolutely love her voice and the lyrics in all her songs..I`m very very happy I found her. She, obviously, also has a youtube channel where you can find more of her work.

This song, as you can see from the name, is more about the second book. Shelby also has a song called 'When the darkness comes' which is more about the first book...but for some reason I mixed it all up and 'The Scorch' now reminds me of the first one, and 'When the darkness comes' of the second one. This is just how weird I am. However, both songs are gorgeous, so everything else does not really matter.

• Skillet - Madness In Me (Interlude).

Now, this song just screams 'TERESA' right into my face. I, again, can not describe how much I love it, and what a perfect fit this is for her whole story. She was a real hero, and these words describe her so beautifully...

• Blackchords - As Night Falls.

I think this song I actually found in the playlist for the Newmas ship, and it really fits them so well...(oh Newmas, my heart will never stop hurting..). But it fits the whole story as well and this is very very cool. However this one is not my favourite on this list.. ;)

• Thousand Foot Krutch - The End Is Where We Begin.

Some lyrics in this song don`t really fit well with the story but others do, and do it amazingly good. And, again, I love the vibe and the style of the song. The mood is very maze-runner-ish. So yeah, it`s amazing.

• Lorde - Yellow Flicker Beat.

The last but not the least. To be completely honest, I don`t know what this song is doing in the list because it`s been a long time since I`ve put it in here. I have a slight assumption that I was just listening to it during the reading, and it`s Lorde`s voice, so I thought I already have one of her songs why not have another one. And anyway the song is really really good, and, like 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World', it basically can fit in very well into this story, really. Cause it`s badass ;)
